Day of Surgery Feb. 24, 2010

At about 6:30 am. Getting prepped for surgery. While he was still happy and unaware.

Qwydion in pre-op and getting ready to take a ride in the wagon to the operating room. Qwydions surgery was at 7:30 am. His surgery took the longest at 1 hour 45 minutes. (the surgery only takes 45 minutes, but they had to give him a different anestheia, so it took alittle longer).

Rhuivnyin in pre-op getting getting to take a ride in the wagon to the operating room. Qwydions surgery didn't start until 10:00 am, and her surgery only took 45 minutes.

Andrew said that Rhuivnyin in the recovery room kept choking on the blood she was supposed to be coughing out. She ended up swallowing some blood and threw-up alot of black blood. She kept throwing-up until 1:00 pm. This picture is Rhuivnyin is back in her room with her breathing tube and bloodsucker. This was the one time she was able to sleep because she stopped throwing-up.

Andrew and I were in the recovery room with Qwydion and when we got in there he was sitting up with his eyes closed (he wasn't awake) coughing up blood. He also had a really bad bloody nose. Qwydion had the nurses and andrew and I nervous until about 1:00 pm. Because while in recovery his oxygen would go down to 60%. It is supposed to be at 93%. His lungs were having a hard time recovering from the anestheia. It was really scary. This picture is qwydion back in the room with his breathing tube. The nurses couldn't hide the fear in there eyes either. He was watched very close until we were released from the hospital.

Rhuivnyin and Qwydion getting ready to go home. Qwydion was able to produce a smile, but he had 1 hour of healing time on rhuivnyin. She just kept giving everyone the "look". I made them special hats while we were there. We were released from teh hospital at 2:00 pm. So the day at the hospital was a total of 8 hours.
